How it works

From your meter to a decision.

Most commercial quotes start with a panel count. Ours start with your meter.

  1. 01

    Your interval data

Twelve months of 30-minute readings from your meter, from your retailer or metering provider. Give us your NMI and we can request it for you.

  2. 02

    Tariff and load modelling

Your real network and retail tariff: time-of-use rates, demand and capacity charges, and exports. We find where your cost actually sits, not just how much you use.

  3. 03

    System optimisation

Solar, battery and dispatch strategy tested against your load, hour by hour: peak shaving, shifting solar into later hours, arbitrage and grid services where they pay.

  4. 04

    Your free feasibility study

NPV, IRR, payback and sensitivity to energy prices. Then an accredited commercial installer designs and quotes to the result, not the other way round.

What we model

Every number your board will ask for.

Tariffs

Time-of-use, demand and capacity charges, network tariff changes and feed-in, on your actual tariff.

Load profile

Baseload, daily and seasonal peaks, and the hours that drive your demand charges.

Solar

Array size, tilt and orientation, including east-west and bifacial layouts, for your roof and daytime load.

Battery

Capacity and power sized to the peaks worth shaving, with a dispatch strategy and degradation over its life.

Grid income

Energy arbitrage, virtual power plants and frequency control (FCAS) markets where your site and retailer allow it.

Incentives and approvals

STCs or large-scale certificates, state programs, and the network connection path for larger systems.

Expertise on call

An energy specialist in your corner.

Most businesses don't have an energy engineer on staff. Every feasibility study is reviewed by a commercial energy specialist who can walk your team through the numbers, compare options and stay involved through to installation.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is interval data?

Your smart or interval meter records how much power your site uses every 30 minutes (sometimes every 5). A year of it is 17,520 readings. It shows exactly when you use power, which is what decides how big a system should be and whether a battery pays.

How do I get it?

Ask your retailer or metering provider for 12 months of interval data in NEM12 format, or download it from your retailer's online portal. Or give us your NMI and authority to request it on your behalf.

What's an NMI?

Your National Metering Identifier: a 10 or 11 character code printed on your electricity bill. It identifies your meter across the National Electricity Market.

Why not just quote from my bill?

Two sites with the same bill can need very different systems. A bill shows totals; interval data shows the peaks behind your demand charges and how much solar you can actually use on site. Sizing from averages is how businesses end up with the wrong system.

Do larger systems need network approval?

Usually, yes. Above certain sizes your network needs to approve the connection and may set an export limit. The study includes the approval path for your site.

What does the feasibility study cost?

Nothing. Your preliminary feasibility study is free, with no obligation. If you decide to go ahead, a vetted commercial installer designs and quotes the system.

Who installs the system?

A vetted, accredited commercial installer, named before your details are shared. One installer at a time, and only when you say yes.
