Collection notice
Homerise is operated by Homerise Energy, a trading name of Pipereply Pty Ltd (ACN 666 436 586, ABN 71 666 436 586), a private company based in Brisbane, Queensland, not affiliated with any government agency.
This notice explains what we collect when you ask for an estimate, why we collect it, and who sees it.
1. What we collect and why
To prepare your estimate we collect your goals, address, home details and approximate power bill, and your first name and mobile number. We verify your mobile with a one-time code so we can save your quote and keep automated misuse out. If your home already has solar, we also ask about that system so the estimate fits it.
If you continue to a preliminary proposal, we collect your surname and email, and anything else you choose to give us: your power bill, site photos, a map of where equipment could go, your system choices and your backup preference. For businesses, we also collect your business name, ABN, role and energy data, and an NMI data authority if you give one.
If you sign in to My quotes, we keep your introductions and preliminary proposals there, and the private notes you write, so you can see them on any device. We don't share your notes with installers.
2. If you don't give it to us
You can read our guides and rebate pages without giving us anything. Without a verified mobile we can't show a personalised estimate, and without your surname and email your installer can't prepare a proposal in your name.
3. Who sees it: one installer, when you ask
We show you the matched installer's name, legal entity and ABN before anything is shared, and ask for your consent. When you choose to continue with that installer, we send them your enquiry and contact details (when you ask them to call or contact you, when you ask for another installer's quote to compare, or an hour later, whichever comes first), and they may call, text or email you about it; they keep it while you compare. We send them to another installer only if you ask for another option (any time, up to 3, one at a time, each with your permission). Installers pay us for introducing you; it's the same for every installer and doesn't affect who you're matched with.
4. Our service providers, including overseas
Some of the services we use store or process your information outside Australia, mainly in the United States: Twilio (verification codes and texts), Cloudflare (hosting, bot checks and file storage), Google (maps and roof data for your address), Anthropic (reading the power bill you upload), HighLevel (our customer records and messages) and Meta (measuring our ads: we send Meta a hashed, or coded, version of your mobile number, which Meta can match to a Meta account, so it isn't anonymous).
5. Automated estimates and AI
Your estimate, the installer you're offered and the reading of an uploaded bill are worked out automatically, and an uploaded bill is read by an AI model. Estimates are indicative until the installer's accredited designer confirms them. See section 6 of our privacy policy.
6. Marketing is optional
We message you about your enquiry. Rebate updates and energy tips are separate and only sent if you tick the box. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
7. Access, correction and complaints
Our privacy policy explains how to access or correct your information and how to complain, including to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Contact us at hello@homerise.com.au.
