What you'll receive

A proposal for your home.

Start with an estimate in about 60 seconds. Once you're matched with an installer, you get a personalised preliminary proposal, built from your address, your power bill and satellite solar data for your roof.

  • Your roof, from above. Satellite solar data shows which parts of your roof get the most sun through the year, roughly how many panels fit, and where they'd go.
  • A system that fits your goals. Panels, inverter and battery sized to your bill, with a plain-English reason for each choice.
  • Your real numbers, if you like. Got your power bill? Upload it and our AI reads your usage and rates in seconds. You check the figures, and your estimate recalculates on your real numbers.
  • Your bill, before and after. A realistic savings range and a clear payback, with every assumption spelled out.
  • A price you can plan around. A price range from your installer's own price list, with federal rebates shown line by line, state incentives explained and what's still to confirm.
  • Yours to keep. Download it as a PDF, and find it again any time in My quotes.

Preliminary: your installer's accredited designer checks your roof, switchboard and photos, then gives you a firm quote. Nothing is final until you sign with them.

Why Homerise

Built on experience. Backed by clear standards.

The team behind Homerise has more than 20 years' combined experience in Australian solar, and has worked with over 70 Australian solar businesses on how they quote, propose and follow up with customers. We use that experience to choose the installers you're offered, alongside checks on licences, accreditation, insurance and reviews.

Your home first

We start with your goals, your home and any system you already have, and show you an estimate before any installer gets your details.

One introduction at a time. You set the pace.

We introduce one vetted installer suited to your requirements, so you can discuss the options rather than juggle competing calls. Want another introduction? Just ask, any time. There's no obligation to buy.

A connected handover

Our installers already use the business software our team provides. When you continue with your installer, your home details, preferences and preliminary proposal go straight into their workflow, so you don't have to start again.

Clear standards

Licences, accreditation, insurance and 4.5★+ ratings on Google or another public review site, re-checked every 90 days. Our ongoing relationship also gives us visibility of how enquiries, proposals and follow-up are handled, which helps us select and review the businesses we invite.

How we check installers
  • Rated 4.5★ or higher across 25+ reviews, on Google or another public review site
  • At least 3 years in business (ABN and ASIC history checked)
  • Current electrical contractor licence, checked with the state regulator
  • SAA-accredited designers and installers on every job
  • Public liability insurance current and on file
  • No unresolved fair trading or ACCC action
  • Clean Energy Council–approved panels, inverters and batteries only
  • Re-checked every 90 days — installers who slip are paused

The federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027, from 6.8 to 5.7 certificates per kWh. See what it's worth for your home today.

The same home at dusk with solar panels on the roof

Three quiet changes. One much smaller bill.

The sun does the work.

Panels on your roof turn daylight into power you don't have to buy.

Save it for tonight.

A battery stores what you don't use, so your evenings run on your own sunshine.

Less from the grid means smaller bills, and a payback you can see before you commit.

Meet Piper

A helping hand. No salesperson attached.

Piper is our guide. As you go, she explains the things that trip people up: battery size, rebates, what happens next. Short tips where you need them, and never a push to buy.

Piper's tips, for example

Not sure how big your solar is? Choose “Not sure” and we'll use a typical size. Your installer confirms it later.

Bigger isn't always better value: above 14 kWh the battery rebate per kWh drops, so size it to your evenings.

Nothing happens after you see your price unless you ask. Then one vetted installer, by name, with your OK.

Questions, answered.

Do I apply for the rebates myself?

Usually not. Federal solar and battery rebates are an up-front discount your installer applies. If a state program needs its own application, we'll tell you.

Will I get sales calls?

Not from several companies. You see your numbers first, then choose whether to continue with one named installer: only that installer gets your details, and they may then call, text or email you about your enquiry.

How accurate is my estimate?

It's indicative, built from your address, your bill and the current rebate rules. Your installer's accredited designer confirms the final system and price from your site photos.

Do I need to upload my power bill?

No. The bill slider gives you an estimate in about a minute. If you'd like it sharper, upload a photo or PDF of your latest bill: our AI reads your usage and rates, you check the figures, and your estimate recalculates. The bill is stored privately and only shared with the installer you choose.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. Installers pay us for introducing you, the same for every installer, and it's never added to your price as a separate charge.

Can I compare options?

Yes. We introduce one installer at a time, so you can talk things through properly with someone who already has your brief. If you'd like another installer's quote or opinion, ask at any time: there's no waiting period. We show you who's next and ask your permission before anything is shared. Up to 3 introductions, never several at once.

Can I see my quotes again later?

Yes. Your quote is saved in My quotes: sign in with your mobile on any device to see each installer's preliminary proposal side by side, tick off a checklist of questions worth asking before you sign, and keep your own notes on each installer. Only you see your notes.

What happens with the first installer if I ask for another?

We close that introduction and ask them to stop sales follow-up. It doesn't delete what they already hold: if you'd like that, ask us about deletion (see below). Your answers are kept, so you don't start again.

Can I stop contact or withdraw my enquiry?

Yes, at any time. You can ask us to stop further sales contact, withdraw permission to share your enquiry with anyone else, or ask about deleting your enquiry information. We'll explain what can be deleted and anything that has to be kept by law.

Who chooses the installer?

Installers are offered one at a time, in a set order among the vetted installers who cover your postcode. Every one meets our vetting standard, and the fee we're paid is the same for all of them, so it never decides the match.

Accredited installer?

Homeowners arrive educated and quoted on your own pricing. One introduction at a time, exclusive within Homerise until they choose to move on.
